Hi, I'm Becca Kellis.
President

Vice President of Domestic Affairs
I’m a senior majoring in European Studies with minors in Communications and Business Management. I joined ESSA because I love all things Europe and wanted to be involved in sharing the great things this major has to offer. I love to travel. I spent two semesters studying abroad in Paris and Jerusalem. I love learning about other cultures and have studied French for several years. I’m interested in international law and hoping to go to law school after I graduate next year.

Vice President of Foreign Affairs
I am from Alpine, Utah. I am currently a Junior and will be majoring in Political Science. It is my dream to work abroad in the capacity of a Diplomat or work with a multinational corporation. Once my undergraduate is complete I plan on either working towards an MBA or a masters in International Relations. From that point I hope to move on into my career choice. My affiliation with the ESSA comes with the hope to broaden my understanding of European culture, government, and economics. These next few semesters in the ESSA will provide many opportunities to learn and network.

I am a senior from New Hampshire majoring in European studies with a minor in French. I love traveling and all things French. I have been on two studies abroad (in Paris and a business program throughout Europe) and hope to return to France in the future to work and improve my French. In addition to Europe my interests include photography, writing and basketball. {Go Celtics!} I joined ESSA because I love Europe and wanted to share my passion with all of you!
I am a junior majoring in Russian and European Studies. I chose European Studies because I love Europe and Russia, and wanted to gain a basis in European history without limiting myself to a history major. I spent last summer in Moscow interning at a human rights center and the summer before that studying Russian at the Middlebury Summer Language Institute. I'm hoping to go into human rights work or extremism research and documentation in Russia, but I can also see myself teaching Russian phonetics. My favorite thing about Europe is the public transportation, and my favorite thing about Russia is the kvas (a bread-based, fermented drink, quite delicious) that you can buy on the street. In addition to almost nonsensically adoring Russian poetry, I love pretentious films and making bread.
The fourth of eight children, I grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, but the summer before my senior year, we moved to Virginia. I studied Italian in high school and this led me to choose the European Studies major with a minor in Italian. This past summer I completed an internship in Italy and I am now starting my junior year at BYU. I hope to work for the government following graduation where I could utilize both my language abilities and general knowledge of Europe. In my spare time, I study Danish and enjoy baking.
